Screenwriter and filmmaker, Eric Alvarado prides himself on his polished work ethic and ability to adapt when faced with difficult situations, approaching them with a sense of understanding and compassion to reach a common goal. Having both narrative and client-oriented projects under his belt, Eric finds himself living in various subgenres of film, hoping to learn the nuances of each and apply the knowledge to his projects. During the pandemic, he committed himself to script writing, aiming to complete writing exercises daily, varying from basic dialogue structure to writing a short story attached to a painting. Learning to juggle visual storytelling with spoken exposition, Eric wishes to find new and innovative ways to "show" and not "tell."

 

The Journey So Far

"I fell in love with storytelling as a kid. Whether it was watching promo battles and vignettes on episodes of WWE Raw and Smackdown, to scribbling my dream Dragonball Z fights in my notebook, I always knew storytelling was my passion. After a tumultuous path of selecting different college majors after high school graduation, I decided to bet it all and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinematography at Full Sail University."

 

What The Future Holds

 

Eric gravitates himself towards narrative projects. He strives to use his writing abilities to assist others in achieving their vision as well as offering insight to shot framing and direction. Through his years of studying at Full Sail University, he has gained experience in all facets of production. His interview segment at Black Cat Coffee and commercial work for Smartpunk's Record Shop taught him valuable skills such as time management and communication.
